Safehold’s ground lease was paired with an agency leasehold loan to capitalize the project. The transaction closed in July 2022.
The transaction marked the sixth between Safehold and Avanti over a two-year span, all 99-year ground leases created on acquisition of newer vintage multifamily properties. The acquisitions totaled more than 1,600 units in Florida and Colorado.
